***NEW*** Notes from the Board (September)

We are almost at summer’s end and we hope that everyone has had a good summer season with all of your horse endeavors.
In all of our extension newsletters to this point we have asked for someone to organize the shows for next year and someone to be vice-president. To date we have neither. I cannot continue to run the shows next year, so we really need for someone to offer to be the organizer for next year or we will not be having any shows. This would be a real shame because the shows are so well attended. They serve two purposes. They allow the club to make money, which we in turn use to fund any scholarships that are applied for and fund the dressage and eventing teams. They also give the participants a chance to make sure their riding and horses are still on track and improving.

Please consider becoming an organizer for any or the shows so that they may continue. If your feel you could organize just one show and feel you can handle one dressage ring, please let us know. We do need to know if we are going to have anyone to run any shows no later than Oct 21 so that dates can be advertised

The Vice-President position also needs to be filled. My term as President will be over at the end of 2015.

There is also the Extension newsletter that will be looking for a new editor for 2015.

As always, thanks for your time and please consider helping out your club.

Please call me if you have any questions

There are changes to the year-end award criteria this year. They are as follows,

1. You need to get 2 of your year-end schooling scores from 2 different CDCTA schooling shows to be eligible for a year-end Schooling show award.

2. You need to have a score from the CDCTA recognized dressage show to be eligible for a CDCTA recognized dressage year-end award.

CDCTA has affiliated with The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.) for 2014 to offer high point ribbons. Click here for details.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please note, the volunteer voucher program has been suspended for 2014. Any voucher that were issued in 2013 will be honored. We still have lots of benefits to those who generously give their time to support the club. An update will be coming shortly once we finalize the details.
